a b o u t m e

I have been creating images for most of my life. As a child, my parents always had a still - or movie - camera at family gatherings or on vacations. I will never forget the clicking sounds of the 8mm (yes ... film) movie camera & projector, or looking at the cool black & white photographs with the white borders.

I eventually went to Lansing Community College, and got an Associate in Applied Sciences degree in their Media Institute program. My major was Portrait / Fine - Art, and since 1991 I have been the owner of Northlight Studio, concentrating on senior pictures and wedding photography.

I have never given up my love for the fine - art side of photography, and in 2008 I started the long road to getting my Bachelor's degree in photography / graphic design. I am currently a part-time student at U/M Flint, majoring in Visual Communications.

I would like to thank my wonderful wife & daughter for putting up with the late hours and allowing me this opportunity.

That's it ... this is my work. I hope there is something in here that makes you forget all the bad stuff going on in the world - at least for a moment.
